Case Study of a Cuckold Man

Sometime last month, I had the good fortune to be acquainted with Brother Keong, the creator of the Flying Star Zi Wei Dou Shu software (as well as a whole host of other Chinese Metaphysics softwares from Bazi to Qi Men Dun Jia). You can check out his website at: or contact him at Out of good predestined affinity, he had given me the software to use as the platform for giving case studies on this blog. I must say that this software had eased alot of the work in chart construction, and the “flying” is a breeze, spanning all the layers of the charts. There are many interesting functions in the software and I am still exploring every one of them.

I will utilize the power of the software to illustrate the example of that of a case study of a cuckold man. I know that I’ve been doing more Flying Stars lately but I will of course not forsake the San He style which is my background. I have always been using the charts for showcasing the case studies (especially San He style since they have alot of minor stars), but I must specify that some of the stars are programmed wrongly, like Di Kong and Di Jie as one example. Nevertheless, I will only put one educational example of the chart here to compare this with the Flying Star ones form the software.

CuckoldOne thing that even as a fellow San He practitioner like myself do admit, is that San He chart interpretation really take alot of skills and understandings of the stars. It may be easier to get into, but mastering will be much harder than other styles. In order to gain full mastery of San He, the understanding of the minor star characteristics and tendencies are to be thorough. Below is an example of the San He style Natal Chart of this native. He is born on December 10 1975 at 14:22pm (Solar Time). When converted to Lunar Time, he is November 8 1975 at Wei Time. This man has problem with his wives. They all had affairs within span of half a year after he was married to them. If you look at the chart below (especially at the Spouse Palace), from conventional San He understanding, how is that possible? Seems like the Spouse Palace looks very fortunate, with bright Zi Wei (with Hua Ke), average Tan Lang, Wen Chang, Lu Cun. We will come to that later.

The Birth Chart is illustrated in the software below. The Birth Transformation lends a Zi Wei Hua Ke at the Spouse Palace. This is a sign that the partner is that of a refined, classy, pretty yet vain person. Because Hua Ke holds mastery of peach blossom, regardless of male or female, they are likely to be popular. However if there are self Hua in any palaces, there is a tendency to have a twist in any story. Spouse in Ji Mao palace (Tan Lang self Hua Quan) which thus creates a scenario whereby the native treats the partner with tender loving care, but the partner will be oblivious to this, and even be particular and controlling to the native. Also, when we observe from below, in Ji Stem also sends Wu Qu Hua Lu, Wen Qu Hua Ji to Travel Palace, creating double Hua Ji to be activated during periods. Hua Ji at Travel clash Life Palace, indicating poor affinity with spouse resulting in poor quality relationship and marriage.

At the third Decade period (24-33), Decade Life overlaps with Birth Spouse Palaces, and the Decade Spouse Palace is at Ji Chou. Ji stem flies Wu Qu Hua Lu and Wen Qu Hua Ji to Birth Travel (Decade Wealth), creating double Ji and clash Birth Life (Decade Fortune). This sign indicates problems pertaining to marriage. During Current Year 27 years of age in 2001, the Si Palace position becomes the Yin Shu location. Note that Xin Stem sends Wen Chang Hua Ji to Current Spouse (Decade Life palace) denoting breakup/sadness. Problem that pertains to the problematic relationship lies in transformation of Tan Lang to Hua Quan by Ji Stem, whereas Tan Lang holds mastery of peach blossom (adultery) as causative.

In the fourth Decade Period (34-43), Decade Life overlaps with Birth Children Palaces. Therein lies Tian Ji and Tai Yin Birth Hua Lu. However, Wu Yin palace also has Tai Yin Self Hua Quan and Tian Ji Self Hua Ji, which are signifying many conflicts within. Decade Spouse lies in Wu Zi Palace and do notice that the stem here is also Wu with the same transformations! Tan Lang will Hua Lu at Birth Spouse (Decade Parents), Tian Ji will Hua Ji into Birth Children (Decade Life), which indicates a definite change in marriage status due to peach blossom again. When Current Year steps into that zone, trouble will happen, and it incidentally is 34 Years Old in 2008. See below for example.

The above examples highlight the bad romance of the cuckold man as well as the power of the software. Going back to the San He style reading, have you already deciphered why the man had such an unfavourable relationship? Do you remember the formation 極居卯酉 (Ji Ju Mao You) I mentioned about in “The Empyrean Matrix”? Tan Lang and Zi Wei at the Mao location in the Birth Spouse Palace, thus forming the “Wolf Attacking the Emperor” configuration. Zi Wei is of Earth Element and Tan Lang is of Wood and Water. At Mao location which is of Wood, Tan Lang will be stronger than Zi Wei, and the imbalance causes the evil peach blossom nature, leading to promiscuity and debauchery. That is the nature of the spouse To break this formation, Zuo Fu and You Bi must flank Zi Wei. There is only one Zuo Fu in the close vicinity. Zi Wei Hua Ke has already been explained, there is pleasantry and aesthetics, but Hua Ke connotes peach blossom. Lu Cun therein means that the spouse is self centred, and brings the palace flanked by malevolence (Qing Yang and Tuo Luo) thus hurting the Zi Wei/damaging this palace further. Also Wen Chang in proximity with Tan Lang denotes impracticality, and misfortune.

Also remember that what does San He sect stresses on? And that is San Fang Si Zhen. The character of the spouse has Qi Sha, Lian Zhen in personality, which brings about a psychopathic tendency. Therein the Fortune Palace also lies Tian Xing, which will bring element of punishment. In Career Palace, which is the outward palace of the spouse, there are no main stars which is then influenced by the Zi Wei, Tan Lang and Wen Chang of Spouse Palace, thus the partners tend to be attractive with sensual demeanour. In the San Fang there is also Tian Yao, which is unsubdued by Emptiness Stars or Hua Ji, hence the peach blossom tendency/promiscuity will be amplified. Po Jun meets Wu Qu in Travel Palace indicates loss, and encounter with Wen Qu brings further malevolence to the relationship of the spouse.
